That was a goddam awesome movie that thankfully didn't need to start preaching or making an obvious attempt at social commentary (im looking at the recent apes movie)

Bring back Jagr. Trade for Sheahan. DDK for Maata is a terrible trade, don't do it and continuing from last thread, Feds: 2PF is the worst poster on the site outside of handjob.

The social commentary movies are supposed to evoke emotions on both sides of the debate. That way they can have the debate on the commentary across real world subjects. I enjoy it b

I've never seen an Alien movie in my life except for Prometheus, and now I feel like its too much work to go back and watch all the alien movies. As a rule I generally don't like sci-fi movies made prior to 1995 because the effects look corny.
- Victoro311

I never really (frank)ed with Alien movies until I saw Prometheus. I really liked Prometheus which is why I watched Alien since they are in the same universe. I dug Covenant. It's worth a watch if you liked Prometheus.

Really? I loved Prometheus. Thought it was phenomenal, not Aliens good, but still awesome. But I heard covenant sucked.

District 9 was all about Xenophobia and racism, it was great.

Cap wouldn't allow them to do both. (frank) I keep forgetting about that terrible Reaves acquisition.

It was a crappy trade. Sometimes I hate the cap.

But at least we agree about 2 piece.

Yep. Elysium was about social status disparity. Chappie was basically about class structure and social norms. Love all three.

I liked Covenant, but I also think I am not as harsh on movies as some people. I can usually appreciate films at least in SOME way. It wasn't really ambitious at all (like Prometheus), but it was entertaining. And it had Kenny Powers in it.

Entertaining is good. It's why I still liked the Hobbit trilogy despite its comparison to LoTR series. I'll check out Covenant tomorrow. Tonight, I'm going to go see the new Apes movie.

In Time is a 2011 American dystopian science fiction action thriller film written, directed, and produced by Andrew Niccol and starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy that takes place in a society where people stop aging at 25 and each has a clock on their arm that counts down how long they have to live. The film was released on October 28, 2011.

Not an overly popular or highly rated film but it was a good social commentary for upper vs lower class. Time is the currency in this future world.

I do recall this description for a trailer. I think I refused to see it for JT being in there at the time. But now I realize I still find myself humming his music at times, so might rethink my position on that movie.

Independence Day (the first one) was pretty good! Speech by the president in this movie made me want to vote for Bill Pullman.

I do too. Just too many movies to see in theatres these days with all the great sci-fi and super hero movies. Not too mention the wife drags me to see all the Pixar, Disney, and Minions based movies. (I actually really like those type of movies too)

Never been a huge JT fan but the premise of the movie intrigued me enough to give it a watch.

Certain celebrities being in movies always make me worry about seeing a movie. The ones I refuse to see are John Cena ones. (frank) that noise.

If there are no good UFA options for a fourth line center by logic that means there aren't any for a third line center. The third line center hole is going to be solved via trade.
- Ryan_Wilson

I don't necessarily agree with this. Some players fit a 3C spot better than a 4C spot. You wouldn't want a guy like Matt Cullen playing a majority of top-9 minutes, and you wouldn't want a guy with 3C skill making 3C money (think Bonino as an example) playing mostly 4th line minutes either.
